Our names are Tony and Francesca. We have lived all our lives in Chianti, even if Tony’s mother is Canadian. Our aim is to provide for our guests the opportunity to experience Italian life in a charming, small medieval town. Our apartment is located in San Casciano, a pretty town with a traffic free center, sitting on the top of a hill, surrounded by the green of Chianti's landscape. You can appreciate the taste of an "espresso con cornetto" for breakfast at the bar down the street, or have an "aperitivo at 7 p.m. like a typical Italian, just a few steps away from the apartment before dining at one of the several excellent restaurants or pizzerias in town without the need of a car.
Close to Florence, San Casciano is small but offers everything you need for convenience and a real experience of Italian daily life; such as typical little shops, a main supermarket and every Monday morning the street market (which is a local social event with lots of Italian flavor) where you can buy food, linens, clothing and shoes at a good price. Several shops in town sell local wines, extra virgin olive oil, genuine and organic food products. You will also find all the services you need: banks with ATM, a post office, and pharmacies.
With attention to detail and care, we have furnished the apartment with our family furniture in the typical Tuscan style. We would be happy to answer any questions or spend some time with our guests to help them touch the Italian way of life.
